Your guide to installing and using EconoAccounting Lite 

Installation:

The license agreement of this software states that you may only install EconoAccounting Lite on one PC. Please make sure you have decided on which PC you want to install the software before proceeding.

Insert the CD into your CD-ROM and run the program SETUP.EXE (It is usually the icon with a small computer). Follow the prompts – say YES, or continue to all questions. The software will be installed in the c:\Program Files\EconoAccounting Lite directory on your PC. At some point the software may ask you to re-boot your PC.

Using EconoAccounting Lite:

A program group called EconoAccounting Lite will be made on your PC. Choose <Start>, <Programs> and find the group. There is one program item called EconoAccounting Lite, in the group. Click on this item. EconoAccounting Lite will then load.

The first time the program loads it will tell you that it needs to be registered, and will give you a code to give us. You will need to phone, or email us the code before you can use the program. We will instantly give you an access code, which will enable the program.

Load the program – The company details are captured in <File> <Set Defaults>.

To add your bank account go to Chart of Accounts, choose the option ADD. Fill in the description. Choose the check box “Is this a Bank Account”. Input your bank account number and type of account. Save. A folder is created. The bank download is saved into this folder.

To import bank statement go online. Choose Download and the correct format. Please visit our website for this information. Save your bank statement in the folder created by the system.

Now go to the <Cashbook> and Import your bank statement. The opening balance will have to be captured manually. Choose “Add new transaction” and fill in the details of the transaction. The closing balance must match that of the bank statement.

All transactions now need to be allocated.
