When I try to change or add a transaction that is more than a year old, the system does not allow me to do anything?

Answer:

The freezedata feature is enabled. Freezedata does not allow you to change data that is older than your freeze date. To change the freeze date, go to File/Set Defaults/Freezedata. Type in the date that you want and process.
